Upcoming webinars from outotec.

Outotec is hosting a series of educational webinars focusing on different minerals and metals processing topics. We help our customers create the smartest value from natural resources and work with them to find the most sustainable solutions for water, energy, minerals, and handling the full value chain from ore to metals.

The webinars will discuss how the HIGmill optimizes grinding efficiency including example projects where significant economic and environmental benefits were achieved.

Summary: With depleting metal ore reserves and finely dispersed ore bodies, fine grinding has become an integral part of mineral processing circuits. In the past 7 years, Outotec HIG mills have been marketed, tested, sold, and commissioned for several projects worldwide in a wide range of applications and mill sizes, including the world's highest power regrind / fine grinding / stirred mills. During this webinar, we will discuss how the HIGmill optimizes grinding efficiency and maximizes operating profitability. We (presenters) will be sharing example cases on optimizing projects from technical, economic, and environmental points of view.

How I applied concepts of Mineral Engineering in real life.

https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/dosa-recipe.jpg I t was my first class in the second year when prof Nikkam Suresh, who was the Head of the department at that time, introduced mineral engineering in a very exemplary manner, which is impossible to forget for any of his students. I found many terms that can be correlated to my life; that's why I chose to be in this field despite recent job loss and unprecedented time where I cannot go to the USA and do my enrolled MS in metallurgy. Whatever the thing is, I invested my five years in this field, and now I want to stick with that.   Coming to the main topic, today, my mom gave me the job to make "Dosa." Those who don't know what Dosa is a rice pancake, originating from South India, made from a fermented batter. It is somewhat similar to a crepe in appearance. Its main ingredients are rice and black gram, ground together in a fine, smooth batter with a dash of salt.: Mom was in a hurry, so she

Virtual Australian Showcase on Mining Safety

Description: The virtual Australian showcase on Mining Safety will focus on the Australian approach in mining safety and how Australian capabilities can fill the mining safety space gap in the Indian mining industry. It will present the Australian state government's views on the legislation and enforcement of safety parameters and an Australian consultant’s brief on including safety in the entire mining value chain. There will also be an Indian mining industry’s perspective on safety. Insights of Rake Arms in Classifiers.

https://www.tenova.com/fileadmin/ The miner processing plant is designed to beneficiate desirable mineral from the gangue, and for that, the ore should be crushed and ground up to the liberation size. Currently, the liberation size of most of the metal is below 200 microns. To benefit this ore, wet processing is in the heart of mineral processing, which caused lots of water content in the final products. For removal of liquid from the pulp or slimes, which is a mixture of solid particles and liquid are passed through the thickener.   Thickener is the device through which liquid gets separated. Earlier, this process is done by employing a cylinder to fill with the pulp and then rest for the sedimentation. Sedimentation cause settling of particle and then the water is removed, and solids get separate. However, this was the batch process and took a considerable time. Therefore, inventors tried to operate sedimentation in a continuous process. However, the continuous process is practic
